Steelyard Pic Antic 8 Rare 32,5 cm long steelyard, Roman. Two load hooks on long chains. 3 weighing ways and graduations. Can not date this scale... would say about 1800 years old. |

| The both load hocks come separate. But I am sure the are original to this scale as the construction fit perfect. I found no books which show me such way to attach the chains... but sure I looked in the wrong books. Help is welcome ! |

end of the beam show some lead.... I think it was added later to calibrate
the scale to an new standard of weighing. I do not want to remove
this as it came with the scale. Three sides of the beam show graduations... one is clear |
