Opium balance in a case Pic ASIAN 10 Nice wooden fish form case with little brass slide lock. The case is 11" long and 2,75" wide. The case offer a little "OPIUM" scale with an ivory beam. The scale has two graduations on the 9,5" long beam. The brass made load pan and the weight have no verification marks. This kind of "OPIUM" scale is maybe the most common and exist also in newer style. Some of the new scales are made of plastic ( beam and sometimes also the case ) and are often signed with red text and graduation. The weight and the pan are made of iron or chromed. How to use: You hold the beam by his handle cord, the weight you have to slide to the point of balance. On the beam you see some measure marks to define the weight of the load |
